That's the way to answer your doubters...lol :) Thank you for the screenshot and clarification.
I have the 9930 and am satisfied with what I have as internal memory not to mention that I added a 16gb Micro SD card.

You make a very good point here because RAM which is no different than the 4,8, 12 gb or whatever you are running in your PC at home so the more you have a program or app in this case or someone asking their PC or BB to do something is going to access RAM first and the more you have the faster it will react before it goes to your hard drive on a a PC or your chipset on your BB so i think this is something people rarely understannd or forget or just simply don'tthink about. Thank you for the reminder.
This is probably a good reason to see where even new people to the forums and CB.com should not be dismissed as not knowing anything. I think you bring up excellent points here and obviously know what you are talking about.
I showed this to a good friend of mine who is a programmer and writes code and I also am a Microsoft Certified Partner that knows a bit about this and we agree with you.
It would appear that the original question has beed partially answered but I thank you for a better understanding to everyone and hope you all get it and what boldkey is trying to say.
thanks ;)
I have read a little bit more about it and even on the 'stats' thread (only in posts but how many reader really will read hundreds of them?) is missing real information!
e.G. that the RAM is 768MB but 256MB are reserved/usable only for the GPU. So 99xx still only have 512MB. At least the OS7 does not got oversized ;)
Totally new (for me) was the screenshot you have attached as the 99xx is not a 2,8" as I was reading everywhere. I just measured it and I came to 7~ cm ~2,7". Now I am more confused ;)
BTW I think it is really confusing - 'my main topic' here.
As you can easily find false information in even the best informed forums about it.
Or at least not completely correct informations. Like I thougt that RAM and the reserved space on the internal memory. I had two thoughts about it.
a) it is the same - and the speed of flashmemory is fast enough for the phones or
b) it is real RAM but the reserved memory on the internal memory is and the RAM are both e.G. 128MB large. And the flash is just used to save - almost every second - every information (probably thats the reason a) exists for me as on the flash every action must be almost simultaneously writting on
oh and BB OS (5) is also not helping as it calls it applications memory (in my language it's a little bit more similar to RAM as it is in English) and shows you how much you have free of it.
Back zu Display:
For example the 9000 has indead a little bit smaler display compared to the 9900. Now I had read before the 9000 had only a 2,6" display and up to just an hour ago I thougt the 9000 had a 2,8" as I read in 2-3 years only this on every site. Even wikipedia says it has. But I guess I know what 2,8" is - the complete display - like old CRTs? So it's a bit tricky and no salesmen will tell the DAU/luser? (me ;) ) such things.
BB 9000 effective display is around 6,3 cm large or 2,5" - diagonal.
