    Hey friends?
Got a question considering the 9900 videocamera.
Searched the forum, but found no good answer to that...

Is it really possible to zoom at videocamera mode?

Before taking a pic, it's possible to zoom - but not before taking a video.
    Is that normal?

It also looks like there is a bit of a zoom in, when it comes to video.
But I'm not able so zoom in more or to zoom out.

Oh, and I found it, that when I change the quality from HD to "normal" it zoomes a bit out - but still no manuell zooming function.

How is it with your devices?

    Best wishes,

    Hey Phil!
Thank you for your quick answer!

And is it normal that there is a different "zoom in" between HD and normal?
It looks like in HD-mode there are 2 steps zoomed

Sorry, but with fixed focus, you can't zoom, as it would blur. It's the same way with zooming with manual focus turned on using a camcorder, if you don't move that ring, it'll blur out. It's the same with any digital zoom, but with digital zoom, the picture resolution/quality degrades.

    Thank you for your answers.
I have got the digital zoom when I take photos, but not in video mode, which I was used to with my old BBs.

    Thats why I asked.

And the strange thing is there is a steady zoom on HD video (can't zoom out). And when I switch to "normal quality" it's back to normal (no zoom).
