There are a number of reports that the BlackBerry OS Viber app no longer permits registration.

Man I will just be happy if in January Whatsapp still recognizes our "already registered" accounts.

Even if they will end the support and shut down the WhatsApp for BlackBerry 10 - frankly speaking it shouldn't be a big problem. If I would have friend (friends) and need to contact with them a lot(let's say they are far far away) is easier to tell them - install BBM rather than I would have to buy a new phone on popular platform which supports popular IM apps. What is a problem to persuade to install a new app?

Yes, i'm hoping that they will only shut down the BlackBerry 10 support, If they still allow already registered accounts to use whatsapp after they end support that will be great. Look at the facebook app, nearly 3 months after they said it would stop working on blackberry devices it is still working like normal.

The difference between Facebook problem and WhatsApp problem is that FB app on BB was developed by BB. WhatsApp is developed by WhatsApp. So they(WA) don't have any reason to make us happy and don't shut down the app... Unfortunately.
