For a while i'm noticing that there's a very small blue caret (upside-down triangle) in the bottom right corner, underneath each of the panels. Both when they're expanded (open), and when fully collapsed.

Funny thing is, it's sometimes there, sometimes not.

What could cause this? Anyone else noticed?

And no, these are not dead pixels / always-on pixels -- yesterday/this morning it was not there, and now i just noticed it (after doing some Blackberry Travel stuff).

The other app that i recently enabled is Twitter -- but not sure why that would show a caret there.

BTW: after a soft-reset, the caret is gone again. However, this is not the first time i noticed the caret there.

I have noticed this on both the leaked 7.1 builds for the 9900.

It will go away after a battery pull and then re appear.

I have no apps installed other than MeterBerry so it's not app related.

I don't have that on mine Most likely and app cauisng this. Could you please take a screen shot and post it here? Oh and if your screen shot do not show this triangle, then it is a hardware issue. But if the screen shot also has this triangle, it most likely caused by an app.

suggesting to scroll down for more.
    ..
since it sometimes there, might be a glitch...
next update and it may be fixed...

I have OS 7.1 as well but I never ever seen anything like that. It would be great if someone can post a screen shot.

ya I've seen it too. I'm actually looking at it right now, lol. My Favorites section has only 3 rows of apps and no need to scroll but that down icon is still there. I had it on my 7.0 and still now on my 7.1 OS.

    its all good, no biggie.

I just started noticing this today as well. So small, you can almost miss it. Of course, once you know it's there, it kind of gets under your skin.

Edit: Here is a screen shot (hopefully this works).

It's a scroll icon as stated below. A safe place to set your finger without clicking on a link or opening a menu. I use it.

Sounds like the icon to show there is an additional page to view. Have you tried scrolling down to see. Try also touching the icon to see if it does anything.

Its definitely a glitch. Ive had it happen to all of my OS 7 9930 builds. and trust me, ive tried alot of them.

It happens randomly so you have to use it for a while. I dont know yet what triggers it.

Saw it last night on my 9810. Went away after reboot, but it certainly looks like a scroll icon. Also, even though this is not a 9900, I can confirm it is not hardware related because it moves to the same position on screen, bottom right, no matter which way phone is orientated.

I have seen that after upgrading to OS 7.1.0.0.205

It appears on most screens even if there is nothing to scroll down.
Seems like a small bug to me.

Nothing of a big issue for me.

Its also on the drop down menu when you press the blackberry button, but goes when you scroll down. Which does suggest its letting you know theres more options to scroll down to....

I started seeing it after I updated to 7.1. It normally appear after loading/ reloading an OS. For me, it normally goes away after a few days and a few reboot. Doesn't bother me one bit.
