It is made by Dupont, it is really an old container but any automotive store should have. Even a "cleaner" auto wax will have enough fine abrasive to get rid of average scratches.

Yep we ALL have come a long way. I used to spend my time in Howard Forums but CB is by far the best on the Internet!

Cool...thanks for the tips my man! Good to see some of us from the ol days are still supporting RIM!

Yes I'm diggin the Crackberry forums...

It doesn't really slide out. You have to kinda dig your nail into the buttom where the groove is and life it up from there. It kinda clips in on both bottom corners.

Speaking of the battery cover. Does anyone else think those clips that hold it on look fragile; like they'll break after some wear and tear?

yeah they look flimsy but hopefully without all the battery pulls of prior devices you won't need to open it too often to fatigue the clips.

invisible shield will help, i just find it a pain to install and it will change colour after time. i pulled my shield off my torch and it was turning yellow, and on my playbook i can see on my screen cover where there 3" notch has left its mark (leather stand up case). lets just say i'd rather have that happen to the disposable cover than the screen itself.

Sorry to hear about you battery door.

Cases and screen protectors my friend. This is a good place to recommend the 3M Natural View screen protectors. They don't use water or fluid of any type and if you are careful when you align it and make sure you have no dust particles then its fairly simple to have no bubbles whatsoever. It is shiny like the screen and will not scratch. You can't even tell you have a screen protector at all. I bought some cheap ones from Crackberry and they were cut improperly and did not fit, the 3M units are cut perfectly. You could also buy one for the 9000 and modify it for the 99XX phones until 3M has one for those. I would think it wouldn't be long if it not already out, they have one for the 9810. Also for the battery door you could get a larger one for a tablet and cut it to fit various parts of your phone.

So much nicer than the other crap on the market!

3M DI-NOC Carbon Fiber Vinyl | Carbon Fiber Gear

This is a good source. It's not cut to fit, so you have some work to do but it's real easy to work with. You can get a 4"x8" sample piece that is big enough to cover a couple covers.
