    hello...

    one of my friends bought 9930 verizon phone. and he wants to use it with vodafone (vodafone Turkey) carrier. but how? can he use it with vodafone? or its not possible.

    any ideas please?

    You have to ask vodafone Turkey as it depends on carrier. There was someone else who wanted to use 9930 from verizon on vodafone (can't remember country) and was told by vodafone that it was not possible but its always good to ask your carrier.

    You welcome buddy, yes do call them as that's the quickest way to find out. Also, mobile must be unlocked.

    The 9930 isn't working on a gsm network right?? Only the 9900 works with a gsm network.

    assk, the 9930 has GSM frequencies as well at the CDMA frequencies.

    9900 and 9930 both work with Turkcell Turkey.

    I just had the sim card out of my Verizon 9930 (so I could read the numbers off the back of it) so I could UNLOCK the sim card. The sim Card is actually labeled "Verizon-Vodafone" but the rates could probably be exorbitant so you would need a local sim card. I had my account their established time to be eligible for UNLOCK. He gave me the code and it was unlocked.
