I called and spoke to tech support for my lack of reception. I knew there was nothing they could really do, I just wanted it documented in case it created bigger problems for me later. The techie made me do the typical BS protocal: pull battery and reformat using *228. Then she had me turn the phone off and said she would do something in her system.... I turned the phone back on and there was no signal change; so it was noted in her system and we hung up.

I had been texting my friend earlier and was replying after the reboot and got an error. I tried calling and couldnt call out. I called Verizon and told them about the issue... 40min later; they admitted they had no clue what the last tech had done, but they couldnt fix it. It was weird, I had 3G and 2-3 signal bars but kept getting errors lol.

Thankfully I live near an authorized store and they sent me off to trade the phone.

Just thought Id share since Ive never heard of Verizon tech support actually messing up a phone before. *shrug* So yeah, Noone at Verizon really knows anything about the 9930, Ive spoken to a couple "Blackberry Specialists" in the tech dept and they might accidentally brick your phone; so stay away from calling them!!

The first day I had mine they had no clue so I spent 4 hours on the phone with Rim support and they weren't very savy either.
