    Try turning it on and you'll get the page to subscribe and accept the change to your plan. Not free at all.

    With Verizon, you must add the tethering/mobile hotspot feature to your account in order for Mobile Hotspot to work.

    You will be prompted to purchase the feature if you don't already have it when you go to use it.

    The plans start at $20 per month for 2 GB.
