Hi, Im finally upgrading to the 9900 which will be with me on tuesday Anyway, which is the best way you'd recommend to back up & transfer my data from my 8900? I've been reading on the forums where people have experienced issues. Is it better to transfer via bb protect or by desk top Manager?

I would highly recommend you do a custom back-up. Back up your address/contact list, BBM, and messages. Do not try and restore a complete OS 5/6 back-up to an OS 7 device. I haven't experienced the problems per se, but many other users have reported them. I've never had an issues using DM to do the restore.
