well im updating my phone and my while in the process of the back up it seems to have froze it hasnt moved from phone call logs 70/130 since 8:10.. is it supposed to take that long?

When I updated my phone to 7.1 using the ota updater it took around 8 hours. The screen froze and nothing appeared to happen for a very long time. I think it was the backing up of a very large number of emails (>7k)
It's probably too late but I hope your update went well.
I hate the way BB does their OS updates. All your app's requiring registration numbers will lose the numbers so if you dont have everything written down - you lose your app functionality.
On topic - my update took about 3 hours. There were several reboots and periods of time when nothing looked like it was happening.
