Are you saying you have this problem with multiple routers? If the routers are not all the same brand and you are having this connectivity problem, you may have a hardware problem with your phone.

Before worrying about a hardware problem, try deleting the wifi profile on the phone and setting it up again. If this doesn't fix it and you have tried different brands of routers, you may have a problem with the phone.

I was hoping its not a hardware problem, is it possible for the wifi radio to be broken/ damage without any reason? But an updated version of the os?

Did it once work normally? Has there been any damage to the phone? I can see the WiFi circuitry being damaged if there's moisture ...

Yup, before updating to .569 my wifi works perfectly.. If that's the problem it will take 3 to 4weeks

It could be your modem, you can check the settings on your router for your modem. The actual place you get internet from can have settings that limit wifi use.

Any router is a problem.. I must be close to the router for me to connect.. Can't connect to any wifi hotspot, that's the only problem with my phone..

Try reverting to the previous working OS, and if that doesn't do it I'd contact the carrier for replacement.

You must mean 7.1.0.523. Download it from here. Uninstall all other OS from your PC through Control Panel, then install 523 from the downloaded exe. Use http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...-files-709738/ to remove the vendor.xml files. Do a database backup using Desktop, then go to:

    •64-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader
    •32-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader

And click on Loader. It will ask if you want to downgrade. Say yes, then choose to backup and restore data and 3rd party apps.
