I recently updated to OS 7.1. Before hand I backed up my 9900. Then downloaded the new OS. Since then I have noticed that I am missing contacts which is very frustrating. I did a restore to get the contacts back and they are still missing.
This is pretty frustrating since I have, or had, close to 1300 contacts, so I don't really know which contact is missing until I need to make a call.
I have a suspicion that there wasn't enough free memory to install the new OS, so as a result about 100 contacts were removed to make room. Is this possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You did mention that you created a backup, so you could use the BlackBerry Backup Extractor at blackberryconverter.com to check for locally created backups and retrieve your contacts. It should easily work for you. Good luck!
