Can someone help me out, will my unlocked 9930 work over in Europe. I am going to Europe in a week and want to pick up a sim card and use my 9930. It doesn't work on Bell or Telus network and only works EDGE on Rogers. Going to Belgium, Amsterdam and Spain.

Is the BB from Rogers? I have 9900 that I unlocked and works great on everything i have tried (albeit not in Europe yet....) However I have read that their are certain carriers whose phones even though they are unlocked, will not work.

It will work, but only on EDGE. No 3G.

And if you don't already have the Service Books loaded, then you won't get any data services. Phone and text only.

When I went to Europe in January, I called Verizon and enabled their Global Plan. I used it mainly for DATA with only a few phone calls. While it is not cheap (in 2009, it was dirt cheap - really terrific), it does provide some discounts. If you do so, make sure to give them an END DATE and also call when you return and make sure that they turn it off. I did have some billing issues but they did fix it.
