Unlocked 9900 T-Mobile to AT&T Problems?
Hey Guys!
I'm giving RIM one more chance to prove their worthiness to me but have vowed NOT to pay full price for 9900 - without a decent appstore/frontfacingcamera/8mp camera/etc. I'm buying an Tmobile UNLOCKED to use on AT&T.
So I found a few craigslist ads recently for the 9900 from Tmobile Unlocked at $120-150, ofc this is a steal and am sure it's a result from Tmobile's 1-day-sale where they allowed people to upgrade to it at $99. I'm going to hopefully see them this weekend to make sure they're not scams and etc.
What I want to know is, has anyone done this yet? and is there anyone who knows of noteable problems with unlocked 9900s? Will I need to change my current plan? I am locked into AT&T's unlimited 3G data plan with a BB 9800 and 1400(ish) minutes family plan.
Im super eager to get my hands on one and do not care for 4G really as 3G has sufficed me plenty and I hear 4G KILLS your battery up like crazy, and ALREADY 9900 has horrible battery reviews.
About Me: I'm a heavy user of my Torch 9800 and go through TWO a day. I tweet/twitpic/text/email/browseinternet obsessively - I'm a social director for a site & a student, so I'm sort of forced to. Planning on buying an extra 9900 battery.
Basically, if RIM doesn't improve soon, I'm going to be forced to get the iPhone X(whichever is the newest one out). Parents say, 'Enough with your crappy phones, just get the iPhone again!' - I've had 5 iphones in the past, lost/broke them all (all pre-ip4), but have been in & out of AT&T stores getting my Blackberry phones many times as well. Went from iphones->9000(broke 3 times)->iphone->9800(broke 4 times), last straw will be the 9900. If RIM comes out with revised blackberry with physical keyboard + touch + frontfacing + android app capability + 8MP camera (this seems to be the norm w/all the rumors and speculations of iphone5), during my 9900 time period, I will gladly upgrade. From what I am hearing though... The next BB will be QNX and it'll be full touch which is a total BS, but we will see.
IM TIRED OF PEOPLE (iPhone Users) SAYING, 'Dude... you still use blackberries? Aren't they like outdated nowadays?'
Once iPhone gets their BBM equivalent, I may just... venture off. We will see. I just want Bberry to matchup to their competitors. It's really disheartening as I'm such a loyal Blackberry-stan, but when it affects my public image... that urgs me. (PR Major jfyi)
