What kind of price have you payed for this amazing handset?

I cannot find anything cheaper than Amazon at 470ish.

Really don't want to pay that much but never get involved with contracts.

    Help and advice appreciated!

I got mine free on upgrade aswell.
I have noticed there are some for closer to 400 on ebay, 450 seems to be the going rate from a carrier.

Got mine from MobilePhonesDirect.co.uk for 450, but noticed they put the price up to 495 about a week before they got 'unlocked' stock.

Maybe they underestimated the costs or deliberately low-balled to attract attention then jacked the price up?

good tip is to go to carphone warehouse and buy one of their pay as you go phones. By that i mean the ones where they come with a vodaphone sim card with a few quid of credit on it. You get the phone a bit cheaper than sim free, but as CPW dont lock their phones you can use it on any network as soon as you walk out the door.

I did this with my current curve, officially its a vodaphone model, although it has no branding and is not locked, but because i bought a vodaphone sim with it and 10 credit i actually saved 40 (50 cheaper but you had to pay for the top up)

cant guarantee they still do it, it was 6 months ago that i got mine, but the service reps in store are usually quite helpful so its worth asking

The carphone warehouse vodaphone one is interesting.

My favourite at the moment is to go to Amazon.

Currently with orange and am waiting to see their pricing for this.

Trying my best to wait for a good price!

Hoping that when orange, 3 and T mobile start flooding the market that the price will fall, especially when there will be a huge demand for the new iphone.

I'm not due an upgrade until next April. Paid 400 to an ebay user. I think the normal pricing of new phones sees them drop by 30-40 a month for first few months?

I was faced with a fee for the phone for a 12 month so went for the phone free / 5 less per month rental on an 18 month.

Vodafone have such a strong link / relationship with RIM and this is awesome!!
