Hey! I was taking a look at the 9900 at my local Bestbuy and was wondering if there was a way to change how the keyboard will not type if you are holding another key down. On my prepaid phone, if im holding a key down i can still continue typing, allowing me to type faster. I'm sure this is something i can easily get used to, but is there a way to change this?

I just tried this on my 9930. I can hold a key and still type. No problem. I would expect the 9900 to work the same. Perhaps a bad device.

Just curious, why would anyone want to hold a key pressed while typing? What am I missing here?

I think it's holding a bunch of keys to be more comfortable with the device? Dunno, that's all I could come up with.

While you're typing quickly, often times you still have the key before the next one you need pressed down. It just slows you down that's all. They didn't even have wifi working on the phone and the playbook was no where to be seen! It's a shame they don't take more care of RIM's products because theyre fantastic!

You can change the key rate in options also, which should help.

Sometimes I just glide my fingers over the letters I need always touching one or two keys at a time. It doesn't slow things down. Hands down, this is the best keyboard of all time...so far.
