    So I just issued for the first time since I bought the device, when the device is flat on a surface the screen becomes inactive. Kind of weird and don't know if this has been posted. Anybody else have these issues.

    Its not an issue. Its due to the phones proximity sensor in the top right corner. If you cover that up with your finger the next time the phone is lying flat and you aren't huddled over it, the touchscreen will be responsive.

    How long do you cover sensor? And do you touch screen while covering sensor?

    If you are all on stock .261 then this may happen. Happens to me sometimes but sometimes it doesnt happen.

    I am on VZW's stock OS..i've noticed this problem also (touchscreen unresponsive while flat)
