I'm wondering if there is a place you can go on the phone as it comes to see which programs are running. If not, maybe there is an app for this that folks can recommend?

Hold the menu button down for a couple seconds, there should be only 5 icons running at all times.

From what I can tell using the menu button and then selecting the app like the camera and then choosing close doesn't seem to quit the app all the time. If you're not on the "1st" screen of that app it only seems to close that window and not the entire app. Same thing with the App Store. Am I doing something wrong?

    thx

Camera app should exit itself out after you close it. Try hard reset your device and see how it goes.

If you are in the camera app and hit the bb key and chose "close" it will close the entire app. If not, like mentioned above pull the battery. I can almost guarantee it closes then...if not I'd say you have a software issue.

BeAlert is an app that has an icon in ths status bar letting you know how many are running. In the app, the number and app names are listed.

I use to just use the BB button to see if I had anything open and always closed out all except the 5 tht always are run but then I purchased a app called "what's running" from LSPhone just to see if there was in fact anything else running. Once I loaded the app and ran it there are a lot of things tht run on our phones. Most of the things tht run belong to those 5 tht are shown from just holding the BB button but there are some tht were running in the background without me knowing. Most of the ones running made sense cuz they had things to do with incoming calls or texts to change the LED colors. But I saw tht pandora and a few others ran all the time as well. I deleted pandora since I never use it since I hve all my music on my memory card and my battery has improved quite a bit. Its nice to see all the things tht do run on the phone. The what's running app is worth the $1 to see tht. Like I said most of the things open belong to those 5 tht u see when u hold the BB button but I had a few tht I had no idea about tht the BB button didn't show me.
