Its a glitch in the OS, I was getting it a lot in .261. I have yet to have it happen in .353, But im using the 9860. Usually backing out of the text chat fixes the problem.

when this happens to me i have to use my trackpad to move the cursor up into the chat windows area - up from the text box that you write into - and then you can use the touchscreen. hope this helps, not sure why it does this prolly just a glitch type issue

Same issue on my 241. stock Sprint 9930, the only way it allows me to scroll up and down is when I get a text, and I open it from the notifications bar.

Terrible glitch, idk how they oversaw this.

Just reloaded my OS and it seems the issue is gone. This is so wierd..

Why are blackberry bugs and OS's so **** and unstable? How can something not work factory new, but then work, while other things are vise versa?

I put up with it cuz its just worth it, ide rather have a barely working blackberry than a working android or iphone lol, not sure why I'm just addicted and this bold 9930 is like porn for my soul its so amazing, I've owned every blackberry and this is the ultimate for me (even if the camera doesn't have an auto focus) lol...

Its definitely an OS7 issue. I have a 9900/9810 and 9850 and they all have done it at one time or another. As far as BB being buggy, all OS's have glitches. Force closes (Android) and even IOS needs the home button/power button reboot from time to time for erratic behavior. There is no escaping it except to maybe get a feature phone

Just noticed the problem this weekend. This is actually NOT an OS 7 specific problem. I've seen this before...on OS 5 I believe.

It's really strange these tiny bugs slip through the cracks. Hopefully there's a fix soon.

AT&T doesnt rewrite code for the OS7 firmware. RIM does. All carriers do Is receive the firmware before release and add their programs to it if any.

Any glitches in the OS are up to RIM and only RIM to fix. Sorry to disappoint!
