Its not something you'll find in the Beta zone lol. Its a limited beta trial for a select few of T Mobile customers or employees most likely.

And considering how much of a massive fail the first beta test was, I hope this one is much better. Got the invite but am hesitant because of how bad that last beta test from TMO was.

I have installed it this morning.

Pretty much the same as the 7.1.01.205 bundle 648 except for the battery saving mode and the NFC (tag). The tagging is awesome!!

NFC and wifi hotspot are service books dependent features. Unless the service provider pus the proper service books, you don't get this feature even with an updated OS. I have both of them because Telus push the service books for both features.

It wasn't just for people working for T-Mobile. I guess they randomly picked a number of people who had T-Mobile set as their carrier in their Beta Zone profile. So first thing you should do is make sure you add that to your profile if it isn't already there

It's for us to 'test' it and we give feedback. Then they evaluate and see if they take it out to the public.

Believe me I understand, but are these not controlled by the carrier. if they turn them on don't they just work.
