    Apparently phone years work like dog years. A TMO sales rep told me that androids go obsolete every two months. If I could sign up for a free phone with a 2 month contract, my interest would be piqued.

    What about the 9780? 9800? They did not come out 10 years ago.
    Well the 9780 was the same form factor, and basically the same phone as its predecessor, it just ran 6.0 better thats all. It wasnt competetive with other consumer phones. The 9800 by all rights was, and would have been a better rival for the ip4. I think the att exclusive is what prevented it from taking off and seeing its true potential. If they had made a cdma version and released it on all carriers who knows where rim would be by now.
