    i really dont understand why carriers dont want people to use NFC, not like they're losing money. They could probly MAKE money by charging us to use the feature..

    I could see them shutting down a app like "tether" or anything like that which can force users to bypass paying text fees or data usage.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't UMA and hotspot coming in November? So, I'm going to be left without NFC? A bummer, but not a deal breaker for me with those other two coming in a few weeks.

    carriers are not going to leave nfc out.they want to charge their customers with the subsidiary.more way of making profit.
