I've heard so many horror stories here and abroad regarding the first batch of 9900's to Verizon and other suppliers self-bricking...I'm seriously questioning the reliability of the AT&T 9900's in that regard. I heard that AT&T held off until certain glitches they found were cleared up before they introduced the 9900 in their line...the same way they waited for the Bold 9000 that Rogers jumped on quickly, and had lots of issues with.
Question: Has anyone had their AT&T 9900 brick on them? How reliable has your AT&T 9900 been? Is it your first one...or have you had some returns?
I was at the AT&T store as soon as they opened to get my 9900 and haven't had any issues with it since then. I am running the leaked 7.1.0.74 with out any issues and getting 12 to 14 hours a day out of the battery before needing to charge.
Been very happy with it, find my self always needing to be reaching for it.
I picked up mine about two weeks ago and it has been flawless. I ran two OS updates (bundle 1950, 2216) and the device has been operating fine. I still won't use the charging pod, or charge it over night though--just saying.
I have managed to brick (jvm517) my AT&T twice with the 7.1 leak. Running it for a 3rd time now and so far so good after 3 days. Both times it bricked I was rebooting while media was playing, not sure if it an issue with media processor and this OS...
