    Thought this was a little strange browsing around my 9900 escreen device info. Says cdma when clearly I'm gsm... Why?

    Hum.... Thank you for posting this info. Now I wanted to know why as well? I was under the impression that 9900 can't connect to a CDMA network.

    well i was kinda thinkin the same thing, i know im connected to bells GSM network, HSPA+ i mean, it has a sim card.... and it is the 99-00- not 99-30- so.. input ppl?

    just looked at one thing, on that screen it says my vendor id is 107, which is rogers. i have it unlocked and running on bell, which is id 109. could this have anything to do with it?

    ..
    but under Radio Engineering Screen (3GPP)
    CDMA EScreen is unavailable
    Cell information: GSM Serving Cell
    SIM: GSM, 3V
    IP Networking: rlp/EVDO stats not supported
    under Utilities..
    Radio Debug:CDMA- (empty)
    Radio NV...
    NVC: Dakota.Generic3GPP.0.$Revision:#4 $
    ...
    mine is unlocked retail version
    using vodafone network.

    Mine says wcdma service cell
    No where on my escreen can I find anything that says GSM, even references tmobile in there somewhere. I bought this device used locked to rogers and I'm on bell. So I dunno where she's been.

    Nope. Rogers and Bell both use GSM on their Bold 9900s.

    well, everyone uses GSM on there bolds, its a GSM device lol just doesnt make sense why there would be anything saying cdma

    how do you access the engineering screen on your bold 9900? i only know how to get to "help me" screen with alt + caps + h.
    Its better that you know how to access the Help Me screen as that's for the users. Engg Screens are meant for RIM guys who know their way around the devices. One wrong keypress & your BB is a "brick". Not everyone's cup of tea - Lol !!
