Another good blog entry from Newfangled and here's another vote for WiFi Manager from PingDev Limited -- used this almost as long as I've had my Bold 9900. It's a simple and effective little app.

Cool! Though I live in a 1 horse town with 1 cell tower. Still, when I venture beyond my town's borders it should turn wifi off.

Thank you so much for your advice in getting my email working and for this (and all) blog. Quick question. When I am signing up for the first time on the web, do I use the email address that is in my Outlook, my gmail account (which I will not be using on the 9930) or does it matter?

The email you use to set up your OneMediaHub account on their website shouldn't matter. You will be syncing your calendars from a Windows desktop using Outlook so you just need to make sure your email account(s) are set up properly in Outlook.

Regrettably, my 9930 did not end up saving me time or making me more productive. And so, I have decided to move on.

But Still Bold is not going away! I will continue to share 99XX-related content for users and fans of this brilliant device!

I regularly switch back and forth between the 9900 and a Passport. The Bold could never be my only phone. But I still love it for its size, ergonomics, keyboard and trackpad. I carry it about 60% of the time.

I am currently using my AT&T 9900 as my daily driver and am enjoying the "blast from the past". And so far, whatever I cannot do on the 9900, I use my iPod for. We'll see how this pans out over the next few weeks.
