So has anyone with 374 received the update? Do I need to downgrade to the Sprinmt build first?

    Thanks!

Yes, you will have to roll back to .241 unless you want to wait a few until a .exe file is available.

Did the update last night (wow, having never done an OTA before that was a little nerve-wracking). Mobile Hotspot will need a tethering plan, but if you have online access to your account, you can add the BlackBerry Tablet Connection and it will do the same thing. I just did it and now I'm up and running with hotspot.

In case anyone cares, I have a Sprint 9930 with 7.0.0.374 from Verizon. I just plugged my 9930 in to my PC and opened DM and it prompted me to update to 7.1! So you don't have to be on official Sprint .241 to get it. See screen shot below. And yes I will try to backup the Loader Cache before it finishes updating.

Should be available via DM (they usually release it OTA and via DM at the same time, or at least they have in previous officials released like this)

If not, that sucks/disregard my post
When Sprint first released 6.0.0.415 for the 9650 right around this time last year, it was OTA only at first, then OTA/DM and then within a day or 2 the exe was posted. Im hoping 7.1 follows that same path.

I loaded the new official release of os7.1 from Sprint...oh yeah...I got the mobile hotspot but it will not connect...phone keeps telling me that there is a network issue or that I need to contact the carrier to update my plan! Ok so I pay $79.95 for Simply Unlimited which includes the bogus extra $10 charge for "premium data". Apparently if you want to use the hotspot feature you need to give them an additional $29.95 per month! This is a rip off. Cleary the "simply unlimited" should really read "simply limited". In any case I found a tether solution for free that works great.

    Have a great day everyone!

Downloaded last night. Charging is definitely quicker and the browser seems snappier. I can't comment on battery life yet--it seems to be discharging more quickly, but maybe the OS hasn't settled in yet? Oh, and a real bummer is that SocialScope isn't compatable for 7.1
Now that it is official, pester them on Twitter.

They wouldn't support it without it being official.

    Now that it is....

I'm guessing the answer is no, but any sign of Wifi Calling? Or is this not possible on CDMA?

Where do we copy the cache into?

    EDIT**

FOUND need to just copy CDMA and JAVA into existing OS folder and use DM and select applications and will recognize differences

    EDIT # 2

    THIS DOES NOT WORK

Nope...that's how it came up after the OTA update. I had to revert back to the old version....I am now trying to do it through desktop manager so we will see if it does it again.

Successfully updated to 7.1 this morning. Super-quick charging to 99+. Once unplugged, after about 30 minutes at 99+, Meterberry drops immediately to 92 without incremental decreases.

    Network Selection Mode/Technology: Home Only(Sprint)/1XEV
    Backlight Brightness: 10
    Location Services: off
    Social feeds: 1hr updates
    Bluetooth: off

Update: When charging, Meterberry jumped from 92 to 99+. Wth? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: also did 4 battery pulls after successful installation of 7.1

Probably just dense, but I cannot figure out how to install what I downloaded using the link above. I have a Verizon 9930 and this does not appear to be an exe that I use apploader to install. I appreciate any help.

    Thanks.
