Think I am going to wait to get some feedback on this build before I upgrade on my sprint 9930. The major hopes, as .374 has been very steady for me, Are better battery life and snappier performance. All I really want is the battery life though.

It definitely has snappier performance in all apps. All apps have re-registered. Some minor changes noticed are appswitcher is only 5 (not 6) icons across, a mini folder icon stays onscreen when opening the folder so you know what folder you are in, the clockface has an extra icon on the bottom. NFC launches but I dont have any tags to test it. Hotspot requires subscription. I used to get a page full of "Secure Encryption Detected" messages on PasswordKeeper closing and that is gone now. I had updated Quicklaunch to 4.0 and it wasn't working but it works now with 7.1. Slow to load still but re-registering software usually drags it down. When it first begins to load there is a slight "pop" sound. I also went back into the software update page and there is an icon to revert, not that I'm interested at this point. The whole upgrade process took about 2.5 hours. Might be longer for me as I have many emails with attachments. All in all, positive results. Nice job Sprint!

It's only available OTA, and you must be running the stock Sprint OS to receive it. Are you?

It's not a leak, it's official... and it can take weeks for an OTA OS to reach the RIM download site.

I am. On your BB (not DM), go into options (the wrench icon), click into "device". Scroll down and click on "Software Updates". It will look for the update file online. Once it is found, click it to start. The download will begin. Once the download is finished, click to install.

This is how OTA (over-the-air) works.

Sorry if you already know this. Anyway, good luck!

So for us sprint folks that were running .374 from Verizon won't get the update? What to do then?

You have to install a Sprint OS to get the new OTA update.

Not too happy with the update. Seems laggy and the mobile hotspot looks like a subscription service. Plus I had to reinstall all email accounts (unless that is normal).

    Oh well...

Update of the OS replaced the beta versions. Now on BZ, it doesn't recognize the new OS and doesn't provide a download of the BZ apps.
