So I'm pretty stoked about getting the Blackberry 9930 when it drops. Past stoked actually. In the past, Sprint usually send me Premiere emails offering new phones many days before they drop. I was wondering if anyone has received a Sprint Premiere email for the 9930? I'm asking out of excitement and the fact that Sprint really, along with a few other carriers I've noticed are dragging their feet with the promotion of this device. Are we in such a Droid world that other phones don't matter?

Few other general questions while I'm at it:

1. Why is everyone confused about the presence of wifi in the device? Seems like Kevin AND the official threads seem to confirm it. This in turns confuses me.

2.WHY IS THIS PHONE SO FREAKING AMAZING?!

i know im at least the lower level of sprint premiere still (soon to be the higher level i think)

i dont think its wifi they are confused about itself....its wifi hotspot, meaning turning your blackberry intoa wifi hotspot foryou to connect other devices to (like a laptop) for internet access

There's no confusion about wifi, that's a given... it's mobile hotspot they're confused about

See. I've seen confusion about both things. I could care less about the hotspot capability though. I had to get a temporary droid to replace my Blackberry....too much of a battery drain. As long as I can use ubersocial....I'm good!

This bugs me. I'm silver like you and never had an issue getting these emails before. The one time I want to purchase a phone days ahead of time and they drag their hooves....ugh

...I'm not sure how much that will equate to, my guess another $50.00

If you are business customer simply ask your business you need a seed device to test - it will not be yours but you can operate the device for a few days to insure it will work for your business.

Yes, in my view they are the only carrier to go through if you are talking very many phones...
...I appreciate what GSM can do but AT&T just rips your head off with data charges.
...I'm getting emails all the time for date overage alerts on the company ipads I watch over.

I'm a Gold premiere customer and use to some how be a business customer! I never could figure out how I got buisness status but any who... this is great news to me if it's true! Going to double check my business status but I'm definantly a Gold premiere! Been with them for 14 years!

Getting back to the original poster's concern about emails. I use to get emails too even ones that I didn't want, but lately, and by lately I mean in the last couple of years I get nada! I even resigned up on the site to receive emails for the latest phones coming out. I did it for the Google Nexus S phone and did receive the email about that. Since there was no coming soon ad for the bb bold 9930 there was no send me an email option to sign up for. I did however, sign up on the BB website to recieve an email for when it will be available and still nothing!

I just signed up (AGAIN) to receive emails for any new devices. Every premiere customer should be receiving emails Gold or whatever! I noticed while looking at the premiere eligibility that it didn't list any extra dollar amount discount, only the accessary discounts. But we will see soon if that $50 extra discount applies!

I also signed up for Premier alerts on new devices and have yet to receive any email. What's more I also called Sprint's Telesales and tried to get my paws on a 9930 earlier but they didn't let me pre order, however they added me on the email list to be notified when the 9930 drops...guess someone forgot to send those emails LOL (I'm not LOL-ing). Also, I am signed up on Blackberry.com for new info o the BB7 devices and it's the same story: NO EMAIL. On a side note, does any of you think it is possible for me to get the new Bold on the 21st even though my upgrade isn't up until Sept 1st? I want to sign 2 yr and get it at $249, not full retail

They have not announced that you can pre-order, but i am also a Premier member and I spoke to a Sprint rep., and they told me I can preorder now for a deposit of 50 on the device. And confirmed again the august 21st release date.
