Spoke to a RIM employee

Just to contradict the rumors going around regarding a September release, i spoke with a friend who is a compliance specialist at RIM via Facebook, and he told me the following:

I knwo this is the rumor going around, just thought id share, just to add a bit more confirmation. Also i do know he works for RIM and its now up to carriers, but maybe working at RIM makes him more knowledgeable.

Sorry, but this does nothing to solidify the release date. This guy via FB could be just throwing a time frame out there.

We all want the phone - but all this post does is add more unneeded speculation. The phone will drop when it drops. Until then, we all wait.

Yep.... we need more info from carriers and RIM because who knows what's going on.... it will be a big mistake if RIM don't push this out as soon as possible.

They know nothing probably... Nothing more than what they read themselves on these boards.

Vzw rep @ a store said probably July. I can tell from her demeanor it was just another unsubstantiated remark she probably read on CB or wherever they wouldn't know....they're not told...I can't believe how so many people spew nonsense based on what some rank and file "rep" says. Even if from RIM. An engineer may know, sure, other than higher managers or something.

Let's ju�t wait patiently. Off for a cappucino.
