When typing a text or email I usually hit the spacebar 2x to get a period. In the past few days hitting 1x is leaving a period? Am I missing something? Does not happen everytime. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Try blowing out the keyboard with compressed air. There might be something under it causing it. I know when i get a bunch of heavy dust on mine it messes up my keyboard.

Also, try running your finger over all the keys a few times pressing them in and see if it clears it and then blow it out again.

Try reloading the OS or the space key might be getting stuck, so when you click the space once, it might be hitting it twice?

This is a problem that most 9930's are experiencing. There really is no fix for it. In my case, I'm just living with it. Most users just exchange phones if it's under warranty.

I have been having the same issues. Thought it was just me. Maybe ill just buy a new keyboard. They're easy to swap and cheap enough.

This issue has been with me on whatever OS I load since I got the 9900 almost two years ago. But I try to live with it. I think it becomes an issue when i type real fast. But then, sometimes I go back a few words to edit the "dot". Sometimes, i just let it go...

But, I got the new Z10 several days ago for my wife. I thought I was a keyboard guy, but the keyboard of the Z10 is awesome. I type much faster using it. And guess what....there is no extra "dot." lol....She loves her new phone, I tell you.

I'll wait for a few more months though for the Q, who knows. I'm sticking it out with my 9900 in the meantime....I love it, despite the extra "."

Two of my 9900 units had the same problem. Got to be a hardware/keyboard defect

Get a new Keypad at www.etradesupply.com

You can also get a new chin plate with no carrier logo for a buck fifty.

And yeah, my space bar is working properly now, and my keypad is much nicer than the original.
