I had an out of warranty 9930 when suddenly was graced with the blinking Red LED of Death.

I was SOL, sold the phone for a mere 100 bucks and picked up my old tour and went on with my life. While the BB software is quite antiquated, I still enjoy the keyboard and short cut keys these phones offer. The Tour is just too old and too slow, so I was thinking of picking up a used 9930 again.

Before I buy, I was wondering if this issue was resolved. I'd hate to purchase a phone on the forums for 300 bucks, just for it to brick again.

I've been off the forums for quite a while, but I did search and did not come up with an answer to this question.

You can find one on eBay for far less then $300. And yes there is no solution to the Red led death.

The solution is BB10.
