well i was looking at the hard shell originally, i went to a store near my house and they only have the soft one. The other thing was that I only brought 24 bucks enough for this case+tax. I thought it's just a loose silicon/ rubber but its not, Its actually made with a high quality like plastic/hard rubber like materials. It is very slim and everytime i used the phone with this case, I feel like holding a super expensive razer mouse. So nice, what do you guys think?

It works quite well, the only gripe is that the buttons are a lot harder to press than the Otterbox Commuter and it doesn't protect the front as well because it's not really raised.

The only benefit for casemate is that it works with the charging pod and look sleek. Was thinking a lot about commuter as well...

This whole time I thought it was the soft silicone type of case. The fact it is the harder type of silicone it just opened up more options for a case when I get the 9900. Wish att would hurry up!

I had both hard shell and soft shell. The hard shell was cool and it looked like the phone had no case at all but I must say I liked the soft shell way better because of the way it feels. Is it just me or does the hard shell feel bulkier?

soft shell is not really soft its kinda hard mixed with soft, It has rubber smooth feeling normally used in high end gaming mouse or keyboard. It scratched proof because its not plastic but rubber type material and the black band just make the phone so badass

Love the soft shell on my 9930. And I had the first really hard drop on a rough gravel parking lot a couple of days back. Not a scratch.

I have both the hard shell & the soft - both are nice and light, the only difference is the back part on the hard one, has a carbon fiber design on it. Both are good though.

I have both the Black Hard shell and the brown soft shell.

Maybe it is just me but I find the lock button and convenience keys are a lot harder to press on the soft shell than on the hard shell.

Plus, I love the look of the back of the hard shell case.

These new skinny phones dont have no soul! I like em fat. I use the Otterbox Impact on my 9930, good grip, size, good soulful feeling.

i just noticed that the blackberry soft shell make my 9900 bezel scratch
look at the front of the bezel
not the side
I've got few scratches already because i took the phone of the case every 2 days or so to do a battery pull and sadly very time i do that it scratch the phone

How could it scratch the bezel? Under the carrier logo abovr the attenna?
