Installed. Wasn't hard at all really, just need to be careful with the ribbons. Works with the Charging pod as well.
Here are the pics, did it today and it really was for the most part pretty easy:

may come in handy, looks like you've got a full phone to strip down unfortunately!
good luck :)
Let us know how well the bezel fits :) Myself, I'm waiting for a replacement bezel like the original, as well as the soft rubber back-bezel if you can call it that. Unfortunately I've had mine hit the pavement a couple times already... arg. usually overly careful with my phones, and hate it when they have glaring scratches.
Looks easier to replace than a 9650 bezel, especially since you don't have that top plastic piece with the tabs that break ridiculously easy... Also the mainboard looks easy to remove and put back in the bezel, the 9650 was a bit of a pita to do so...
Please post lots of pics when you get it installed!

I'm curious to see pics I like to see when people customize their BlackBerrys
on previous blackberry devices we used to change because bezel was made from plastic and we want our phones to look boldier, but on 9900/30 bezel is made from metal and i will never change it, it looks so classy and rich, no need to void guarantee either.
Has anyone considered masking and painting the factory bezel while it remains on the phone?

think thats one of the simplest tear downs of a phone ive ever come across! tempted to change mine now!
Edited first post, pictures are now posted at top of thread.
that is AWESOME. I cant wait to get mine and do that. It looks so sleek. Love it.
Thanks, the black is actually metal and I really like it.
my GOLD! bezel is on it's way as we speak =D !
I will post pictures in THIS thread when I have it installed
looks good..i'm quite tempted but probably going to stick with stock for now..or at least until i get bored lol
Pretty slick.. I'm back and forth on whether I want to do this.
I did a black to all white swap on my iPhone 4 so the full disassembly doesn't scare me but just the question of how the parts will hold up..
That's what makes me nervous too. I tore my 8330 apart and changed colors so many times that it started getting really creaky. I told myself I would stick with the stock colors the phone comes with, but that black looks good!
i like that :) i think black is a good choice as it doesnt go against anything else on the phone :)
i love blackcolor:D
yeah i took apart my 9700 so many times i hated using vibrate because the whole phone sounded like it was going to explode.... i think it mainly has to do with pieces that were once glued on (mainly the piece under the keyboard) that were put back on without glue
That looks cool "blackout" :)
