Hi, I have the os 7.1 9900jAllLang_PBr7.1.0_rel1646_PL5.1.0.393_A7.1.0.5 23_AIS_Thailand. on my blackberry bold 9900, and everything is ok except that I do not notice any upgrade on battery life and also the device seems to have a slower interface, even when listening music, the title of the song moves "skipping frames" or something like that. When navigating through the homescreen using the trackpad it is slower. This didnt happen with the os that I had before, but I do want to have the 7.1 features.

I installed the os7.1 using bbsak to wipe the device and then installing the os on my pc to use the loader to install on my device (I deleted the vendor.xml before doing this).

What can I do to have the features of os 7.1 without slowing my device performance.

You can always try installing an earlier OS than 7.1.0.523. Any or the .3xx or .4xx(I would stay away from those imo). You can search the forums for links, or go here and look for your latest carrier release BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites

Just wait it out. Do a battery pull and everything should come into place.

Just do a battert pull 253 times and it should improve the speed of the phone within the first few min from a fresh restart.

The latest OS does not mean it is the best overall of all the older OSes.. Your best bet is to try them out and if you don't like it, try another.. G'luck!

I have noticed this, you need to RE-INSTALL the OS again to your phone and do like couple of battery pulls it should be fine and its the BEST OS so far since 7.1 is released in my opinion

It is a proven fact that an OS has to settle in. One battery pull right after reboot, then 1-2 per day for 2 days should do it. Make sure it's a physical battery pull, not a three finger salute.

How you run aps in the background also effect the performance. Why anyone would drop back to a 7.0 version with no wifi calling is beyond me, but go ahead. If you really want to drop down, the 7.1.342 was a winner for me.
