The first thing I did on my new BB 9900 is by loading to the newest firmware but before that, I like to Shrink it by removing unwanted COD files to save some memory space.

However, I met with the following issue after I install the OS

    Uncaught Exception:
    ApplicationRegistry.waitFor
    (0x5364ff2940fa3920) timeout

When I press ok, then this thing turns up

    java.lang.NullPointerException

I can't find a solution by searching on this forum and Google.com so I decided to jumb in and find out what causes the problem and share my findings.

Basically when you Shrink your OS using the BBH Tools, DO NOT remove Maps. Doing so will cause the above problem when loading your OS. You can remove it LATER with Desktop Manager if you really want to or simply delete the application from your device.

    Again, DO NOT remove Maps

Below is a screenshot of my BBH Tools with Shrink-A-OS

Yeah, it inadvertantly removes a couple of the net_rim_bb_lbs_api cods by mistake.

Not a biggie though... just put them back.

    Cheers for the update Lyr

Ah great.. I am using the 2.4.9.2. So the new 2.4.9.3 solves the removing of MAPS issue right?

    Thanks a lot

I can't seem to get my BB 9930 to connect, same with BBSAK and JL Commander, used BB Boss 2.2 to shrink my OS and got a 503 error on Bereader.

Looks like BBH Tools is moving those api files again on the new Sprint 9930 7.1 release.
