Just went and checked this phone out at Verizon. Regardless of some of the shortcomings that people feel this phone have. (camera etc) The keyboard is just excellent Reviews are not embellishing. It was a pleasure to type on.:)

The KB is amazingly smooth and buttery. Its the only thing I love about this phone.
But, other basic functionality is 1000x more important.
Best phone I've ever owned including several Androids

same here had iphone,3G,3GS,a couple of androids ,sonys and 6-7 differents blackberrys and this phone hands down is the best ive ever had...i cant stop touching it..i love the feel and the os :)
my thumbs have been destroyed by the keyboard and touchscreen.
i love it.
7100, 8703, storm, storm2, 9630, droid, incredible, droid x, fascinate, droid pro, incredible2, thunderbolt, iphone4, droid3....and now the 9930. In my opinion this is the smoothest running phone of them all. Everything on it works perfectly for me.
Now when I get an email, I no longer have to think twice before typing my reply on the BlackBerry or heading to my PC and type it. It is a joy to type on and makes our lives easier!
+2 for the keyboard and the bigger screen and the super fast speed!
This BB is on steroids no doubt!!!! :D
While I do feel that the keyboard was absolutely amazing, I returned my 9930 and went back to a WP7 phone. I love the hardware, but the OS is not competitive for my needs considering I've had Android, iOS, and WP7 phones in the past. I won't write RIM off yet as I do intend to check out the QNX based phones when they are released.
RIM always has done amazing with their keyboards.
KB is smooth like butter
Great kb!
I find myself trying to use my pb swipes on the display...
Smooth as a baby's backside :D
i love it. So easy and a joy to use especially with autotext.
Tony,
This is why, for 2 years, people like myself and many others here at cberry kept relentlessly begging RIM to refresh the 9000. And I'll tell you something else, I believe, no...I know for a fact that the 9900's KB is larger than the 9000's. I have my otterbox defender from my old 9000 on this 9930 and the sides of the KB are slightly covered up. I love this phone, as I knew I would. I'm sure everyone else who haunted these forums for the last 2 years have the same feeling as I do with this phone.

Best Keyboard Ever

It is. According to RIM, the keyboard on the 9900 is 6% larger than the 9000. You could see for yourself by looking at the gaps between the keys on the 9000, and comparing it with the 9900. It's airtight.
Very easy and comfortable keyboard.
agreed. went to the Verizon store today to check out the phone and the key board was amazingly nice
After today's HP announcement, people are talking about licensing out webOS.
If BB tanks, they should license out their freaking keyboards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****, they should license them out now :).
They were talking about that even before HP killed off webos projects...
wow your posts are horrible, we get it, you said this already like 100times in other threads
you only like the keyboard, we get it
you think the touchscreen is a "joke"
all you do is repeat yourself over and over again, without even giving an explanation
do you even have a 9900/9930? somehow i doubt it
This phone is perfect in my opinion. This is exactly what I've been waiting for. And the keyboard is better than I expected.
Love this phone!
