Decide which OS you want to use and download the file onto your PC.

Install the OS onto your PC. (run the downloaded file)

Delete the Vendor.xml files. Could be one or two, it varies.

On PC, delete Vendor file located here:
�64-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader
�32-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader

and possibly a 2nd one here

�64-bit: Computer\C:\Users\{USER NAME}\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
�32-bit: Computer\C:\Documents and Settings\{USER NAME}\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML


Open Desktop Manager, connect your phone and the new OS should be there to install on the Bold.

Do a full backup and away you go.
