    Hi,

I bought a bold 9900 on ebay and have now some problems....

The first time the bold was ok but if i actived the mobile networks it reboot completly and than reboot after 2 sek again and again.

The only way to stop it is to update the bold.

So I still thought i can read the error message (maybe flash) via cfp hos
(The HOS takes the device out of Head in Sand mode. Namely, after sending
this command, the device will NOT reset on a catastrophic error and will display an error code.)

    but it reboot again -.-

    can somebody help me?

Remove the SIM card, and then power it on. See if it comes on and is stable. Failing that you may have to load a newer OS on it via Desktop Manager...

Then it's not a 9900. The 9900 Bold is a GSM device, which requires a SIM card to operate on a GSM network [Rogers, Bell, Telus, etc. in Canada] and AT&T and T-Mobile in the USA.

If you say there was no SIM slot, you got yourself a 9930, my friend.

    Hi,

    It isn't bricked....

I just think there is some error in the flashmemory and if could use the 'hos' commad via cpf and get the error code I can fix it ....

So can somebody tell me why the 9900 don't use it?

You might have to turn it in for repair. I know that sounds lame, but it may be quicker than trying things over and over.
