    So right, I've been looking for a way to reboot my 9900 without having to mash multiple keys, or answer 'yes' to prompts by pretty much every app i tried.

    I found the perfect way using ShortcutMe though, and gbsn expanded it. It's now possible to reboot your BlackBerry just using a simple macro. I figured I'm not alone (otherwise other apps wouldnt exist). ShortcutMe also works with schedules so you can reboot or launch whatever you want on a full featured schedule.

    Code:
    While0 IsAppRunning Home Screen;
    Do0;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    BacklightOff;
    EndWhile0;
    execute the maco, you may have to hit the menu key afterwards, but BAM your BlackBerry will restart, no prompt, no 5 second wait.....

    You can see how this came about, along with find tons upon tons of useful macros in this thread

    How is this less troublesome than pressing three buttons combo?

    You can assign multiclick convience key with ShortcutMe, so a few clicks of the convience key. It's also good for one handed reboots. Launch ShortcutMe, type 1-3 letters (depending on how you set it up), done. Iunno, I like being able to do things one handed.

    This seems like a lot more trouble than the standard 3 button reboot.....
    I'm sure it is useful for some.

    QuickLaunch has this built-in, as well.

    There's a bazillion other things it can do, I just was pretty stoked about one handed instant reboots. ^_^

    Thank you Juggalo20 to finding out this macro.

    What makes this macro of yours unique is that it is fast (much faster than any app with reboot feature), it is convenient (one click restart from an icon or from a BlackBerry menu), and it is flexible (it can be combined with other macros and other ShortcutMe features like Scheduled Shortcut, Cascading Shortcut, etc).

    - You can for example write a macro that will restart your BB at 7 AM, but if you are using your device at 7 AM it will vibrate and remind you about the restart instead of cutting you off.

    - You can write a macro that turns off Radio and then restart.

    - You can also make a BlackBerry menu called Reboot. A menu option that is available from any screen.

    and much more.

    It is after all a macro, so users have a chance to modify it to do exactly what they want.
