    What are the differences between pulling the battery, turning the phone and then pulling the battery, and using ALT+SHIFT+DEL to reboot the phone?

    Not a great deal really. You can compare it to a Windows PC doing a restart or a shutdown.

    A battery pull is preferred when there are device issues.

    A soft reset is good for just for fun, app install/uninstall, or to gain your lost memory back.
