just a quick question - how often do you guys reboot your device? is there a plus side to reboot them (aside from install/uninstall reboot prompt)

By the end of the day I always get the pop up saying "memory low close application"

What else to do other than reboot?

(I've uninstalled mOst of my themes and apps. Freed abt 20 mb...)

I reboot whenever it behaves inappropriately. On this phone that is about every two or three days. By comparison, my 9800 could go for weeks without a reboot and my 9000 needed the battery pulled twice a day.

I carry a spare battery on me all the time. Hate being tied to a cable. So, I guess at least once a day.
Also, I firmly believe that rebooting helps improve performance.

I reboot when I remember to. With my 9700 running os 6 it's 2 or 3 times a day. With my 9900 it's every 2 to 3 days.

thanks for the replies, guys. i find that sometimes, every 2 days, my phone tends to lag. like it'll take few seconds to load apps, or even for the password box to appear once i unlocked...so that's a sign for me to reboot.

No, a soft reset using MeterBerry is the same as a soft reset using Alt + Right Shift + Del

A hard reset is a physical battery pull.

A soft boot should only be necessary for app management and a hard reboot should be a last resort. I turn my device off every night to charge it and on in the morning but almost never even do a soft boot unless using it for app management.

4.0 is super cool. One thing I love is "Shake to Launch". Hit the space bar and shake the phone and my Bluetooth toggles on. You can use it for other apps too though. Its got WiFi and Radio toggles too. Too many cool features to list.
