i think that i have done enough research to upgrade my os. my concern is that when i restart my phone now sometimes i get stuck on the loading screen. i really don't want to have a bricked phone. do you think that it would be safe to upgrade?

Never fear of bricking.. Just enjoy your phone and upgrade to any OS that you like. I have my phone since the day its released and I've pound this phone by upgrading OS after OS and downgrading many times as well..and yet I have no issue.

if u have memory cleaner on it definatly effects reboot time .... made a dramatic diffrence on my 9930 @ least

Do it through Desktop Manager on a good connection (that doesn't gets disconnected) charge your phone and upgrade it.
