    Hey guys!

Has anyone experienced any random restarts with the new Bold 9900? The only warning it will give me is the keyboard will shut off its lights and then on cue the entire device shuts right down. Does anyone know what this is? I can also replicate it when installing specific apps from the market but I figured that had something to do with compatibility.
Anyway, has anyone experienced this or should I be taking my new work horse back to Telus?

I've had it happen a couple times while I wasn't using my phone at all. Perhaps it's an OS issue. I have .317 installed.

im using 261 as it is the most stable os and have not had this issue.

I found I was leaking 2mb per hour on the leaked OS's and no leak on 261

Yes, this is happening to me too. Not sure what's causing it but it seems to happen more often when i'm in a place where i drift in and out of service.

Hi something is terribly wrong. It just keeps re setting itself. I removed the twitter app but that doesn't help.

Can one of the gurus post a link to the OS stack mentioned?

Sounds like the same issue they were having with the thunderbolt when it first launched. Hopefully they send out an update and don't make people wait awhile for it.

How do I know whether I'm on.317 or not? And where do I find software to replace it with? Thanks in advance

no reboots at all on .317. rock solid and the battery seems to be getting better too. was down to 10% by this time last night, still at 35% now.

I would try .296 and if that doesn't fix it then return it.

Yes, I had this happen once to me and I didn't think too much about it (I actually thought I must have pushed a button accidently) now I'll be watching to see if it happens again.

Similar thing happened to me except mine happened whenever I was on the Twitter app. The first few times I was shrugging it off thinking it was just a fluke. But after 20 or so times, I tried to load different OS's (Rogers, Vodafone official) to no avail.

Excellent customer service experience over at Wireless Wave. Told them about the problem on my 2 day old device and they replaced it instantly.

On my 2nd 9900 device now and I've only had one random reboot and it happened while I was on Twitter again. I'm almost convinced that it's the Twitter app causing this problem...

    Btw, at Bell Canada, 9900/7.0.0.261.

    Cheers!
