    I have been a user of a Nokia E63 for the passed 2 years and I have really found the features convenient for my usage which entails phone calls, text msgs and occasional net surfing.

    However since most of my peers are on BBM, so if my budget is $600 would you suggest I go for the current Blackberry Bold 9780 or should I wait for the Blackberry Bold Touch 9900 or would you'll recomment another BB device.

    Thanks for the reply in advance

    Regards

    Joyce.

    9780 will be cheaper, obviously.
    But the 9900 is well worth the money imo.

    If you can wait till august/september latest and you have the budget, hang on for the 9900. Its the difference of light and day between the two.

    Yeah, if you can hold out til August-September, the Bold 9900 will be a HUGE upgrade. I've been holding on to TWO upgrade opportunities for over a year now just waiting until RIM woke up and released a device I'd be happy to keep for 2yrs, and I think the Bold 9900/9930 will be it. (Despite recent rumors, I wouldn't expect a full quality running QNX BB until at least mid to late 2012. Save your money and get the Bold 9900 or 9930 and I'm sure you won't regret it.

    It's supposed to have it. No one has confirmed this as far as I know though.

    From what I have gathered;

    It was included in the (leaked) original specifications and builds of OS 6.1 and 7. Since then, it has been removed from carrier-specific versions of OS 7 and is not included in the official spec sheet. The hardware is there, I'm sure, and it will be left up to the individual carriers to enable and charge you out the you-know-what for it. Personally, it's a little disconcerting since I renegotiated my contract with Bell several months ago in anticipation of the 9900 being released. I get 6GB with tethering included so I really hope I don't get shafted.

    Can someone come up with a hybrid OS and enable it that way and make it so carriers won't be able to charge for it?
