Can someone advise me as to why my morning alarm settings fail to work?
I've set up the same profile I had on my 9700 that being a Voice recording
Set to ascending!
The alarm goes off but does not ascend! It just belts out a constant level!
I've tried running threw the different volume settings and pressing the Try It option
In the setup page and that works ok, however when set to ascending it just comes
Out at a constant level!

Any ideas?

This problem has been there since forever on BBs, it's a shame that they didn't fix it still....
Did you try to set a native ringtone? does it work?

my alarm doesn't work at all if i attach it usb to a computer. after disconnecting i have to do a battery pull or i sleep in and am late for work.

Maybe that's because your alarm tone is stored on the memory card which becomes inaccessible by the phone once it's connected via usb to the PC. Of course it should work after it's disconnected.
As a workaround, you can try and copy your alarm ringtone to phone memory and reassign it to the alarm and try it.

it worked ok on the 9700 before just doesn't ascend on the 9900!

I will try a preloaded tone to see if that works.
