I changed my plan to $30/month (1500 call&text and 30MB data) yesterday, but I found that I have no BIS and can't send and receive e-mail anymore. What's wrong with my phone??

You need the $10 BIS add on? And doesn't it have to be a $50 and up plan?

You mean if my plan isn't $50, there will be no BIS?

You need a plan that specifically indicates that it includes BlackBerry Data.

And be careful. 30MB of data will only last you a few days.

You might. I was looking at the T-Mobile website, and certain add-ons were only available for the more premium plans. I think unlimited international calling and texts and BIS (both $10 add-ons) were like that. But do check it out for yourself.

Okay, I just looked again. It says that the BIS and international add-ons, each available for $10, are "For Monthly4G plans $50 and up. Not available for Prepaid - Pay by the Day and Pay As You Go plans." Not sure if the $50 part is for prepaid only.

Not true I travel to the US every week and have the T-mobile Prepaid plan 50.00, 10.00 International calling, 10.00 BIS. So for 70.00 you will have international calling, BIS, and unlimited talk, text, and web to 2gb all on prepaid. Been using it this way for some time.

Have you activated your BIS? Also, have you set up your email accounts with your new phone? And 30MB of data? what carrier do you have that offers only 30MB of data? But at any rate, just call your carrier to clarify what you really have. and if you really have BIS included in your plan, you still need to call your carrier to activate it for you. And you need to set up your email accounts after.
