A possible theory on bricking phones.

I've been keeping up to date on the forums about the bricking bold 9900/9930. But I did notice two things. First, the bricking phones didn't seem to be an issue even just up to a month ago.. Only after the recent RIM outage. Second, there were many times when many users noticed their phones bricked on the same day as other users; which made me wonder. Is it possible that something from the RIM's server could be messing the phone up? Or (this one is a bit stretched) the fact RIMs servers were down because it was compromised by hackers?

I'd say so. Some of the spontaneous bricking threads date back to mid October.
I REALLY hope it's an OS7 issue and not hardware, for all our sakes.
