I know for the blackberry 9700/9780, the screen is sealed from the rest of the device and that there is absolutely no way for dust to enter under the cover of the display. How about the 9900? Because if it's like the torch where dust can get under really easily, I might have to think of holding off this purchase.

I don't see how, unless the quality of the build was at fault. Good question though. I never had that problem with my 9780 either.

I got a ridiculous amount of dust under the screen on my 9530, but never experienced it on my 9630 or 9700... Hopefully the 9900 doesn't suffer dust under screen issues...

I had a lot of dust under my 9800 screen (digitizer), but I had that thing in my pocket all the time. The problem is the fact that touch screen phones are multi-layered.

My first Bold 9930 had dust under the screen on the upper left corner. But that device had trackpad squeakiness issues and some buttons were stiff. I think that was just a bad unit. Made in Mexico 5. My replacement is awesome. No problems at all. Perfect device. (also made in Mexico 5. strange)
