    hey guys!

I need your opinions on whether to get a portable charger or another JM1 battery for my 9900. Which one is easier and will make my life simpler? I do intend to find a battery that has more juice in it however havent found any so far in stores. So please help me out

    thanks!

I'm considering both an external charger and a spare battery. There are higher capacity batteries out there too, Seidio has some nice reviews, although it is kind of bulcky. Mugen is releasing one too, forgot the capacity of it though.

Well keep in mind you'll have to keep your Bold wired when using an external charger. With a spare battery you obviously have the hassle to open your device and change the battery, however it is good to go then. With that charger you'll need to keep that USB cable plugged in.
The spare battery should be cheaper, smaller and lighter too.

What I think the OP meant was a charger that fits on your device like a case almost.

I use additional JM1 battery plus External battery charger for charging battery, so I rarely use my 9900 to charge battery.

Get a combo with an external battery charger included, not just the spare battery. This way you can charge that spare battery without using you Bold 9900 as the charging station

I went with the extra battery (two) and a external battery charger. This works for me!

    What batteries do you recommend?

Don't really need an extra battery + charger anymore. Got the Mugen 1500mAh and get 2 days use out of that. The stock JM-1 battery is charged and will simply remain as a backup if I go somewhere without having access to a socket to charge up the phone.

So how can I buy an individual external battery charger? The OEM one is always sold with the OEM battery included.

    Hi all,

Not sure, but I cannot find a charging pod here in SA for the 9900. Does it exist? If it does, it might be the ideal solution.

    Cheers

With an extra JM1 battery, the only problem is charging both your phone and your spare battery at the same time. You can get an accessories that charges both but if you are like me, I have a 9900 and an Nexus 7 Tablet, getting a portable charger would be better as its more universal.

Plus I can charge the portable charger and a device simultaneously (although charging time would be slower).
