Many would say "Buy the newest version of the equivalent keyboard BB and you will not need to carry two devices".

Whether that's the Passport or the Classsic is a matter of opinion.

There's no cure, fortunately. Look at me - iPhone free for four years and firmly addicted to my Blackberry 9900. Hold your head up - there's no shame.

I just got my 4th 9900. Now I use my Z30 on WiFi mostly for browsing and "apps" when I'm at home. I love the 9900 and, for work, it's very portable and reliable. (2nd battery required of course).

IMHO, no change. Remember that the 9900 is a 3G device, so you will lose LTE support. BIS (required) is no charge through my US AT&T plan.

On a side note, two people should not post the exact same thing. It makes me feel like I've seen a hole in the matrix.

I just bought another 9900 as backup for my current Bold just in case it quits after 3 years.

Additionally I use a Z30 for media connected via hotspot

Best combo imo. Love the 9900

no problem go back to your 9900/30 and enjoy using it, i still use a 9900 for Business and not upgrading until Blackberry make a true Bold replacement, looks like 9900's will be in service for years to come,

Well, this IS CRACK-Berry... Welcome to addiction management 101. lol. NO other device duplicates the 9900's feature set. Period. Classic's close but i, for one, am not convinced Chen really aimed it at 9900 users. IMO. 9900's re-release less than a year ago MIGHT mean it'll stay somewhat relevant for a couple years yet... ??? We'll see. Love my Classic but 99 is an old pal i just can't leave at the desk... lol

Well, I'm another one of those who tasted the Classic and said, "guess not." Used it for a while. Saw its positives. Shifted over from my Q10 to see. But nope. I was fine with an ATT contract as I'm good with them, and was able to sell it to someone who wanted it. I liked the Classic in some ways because I love BB10. But its larger size and the "sealed, unable to fix things inside" casing (like doubletyping or a fried battery) discouraged me. As did the build quality of the keyboard area and its obvious gaps. And, oh yes, did I mention the size? I love my Bold 9900 for its form and size. Easy to carry and manage. I cope with the terrible browser and mediocre camera because the calendar, texting, email and phone are just so good. So good. And when ATT finally pulls the plug on BIS and all of us legacy people have to leave...I have a barely used Q10 in the drawer waiting to be reactivated. Same form size with the next best device after my Bold. So...comment all of you as you will...Classic came close, but not enough for me.

It will take more than a week. "Maybe" after a month. Any trial period less that a month he doesn't keep the Classic. To many thing different and takes more steps.

I could have sold my 99 three times but decided to keep it.

I bought a sim card adapter. Next week I'm going down to ATT and see if they will program a card that will work on either phone so I can switch.
